Three disciplines. One approach.

From early-stage consulting to permanent systems integration and live production, Cardinal AVL helps clients move from concept to execution with clarity, technical discipline, and a clear understanding of what the space or event is meant to accomplish.

Integration

Christ the King Catholic High School

Theater renovation

Project focus

  • Stage infrastructure
  • Theatrical lighting
  • Audio monitoring
  • Future-ready systems

Building a more capable stage for the life of the school.

Christ the King Catholic High School's theater needed to support far more than theatrical productions. The space serves assemblies, liturgies, presentations, music, and student performances throughout the year.

Cardinal AVL's renovation work focused on practical infrastructure that improves everyday use while preparing the stage for more ambitious productions. The project includes new theatrical soft goods, three stage electrics designed to support a full-stage lighting wash, and four permanently flown stage-monitor loudspeakers.

Rather than treating lighting, audio, and stage infrastructure as separate upgrades, the system was approached as one integrated environment—designed around how students, faculty, and performers actually use the room.

Consulting

St. Jude Catholic Church

Sapphire, NC — New construction

Project focus

  • Owner representation
  • AV design review
  • Network architecture
  • Livestreaming
  • Acoustics
  • Commissioning

Solving system questions before they become construction problems.

For a new church and parish facility in Sapphire, Cardinal AVL provided owner-side review of the proposed audiovisual design during preconstruction.

The review looked beyond the equipment list to the architecture of the system itself: networked AV, Audio-over-IP, livestreaming and camera pathways, church-to-parish-hall connectivity, lighting and control integration, acoustical modeling, RF planning, accessibility, commissioning, and long-term system ownership.

The objective was not to replace a workable design for the sake of replacing it. It was to identify the decisions that needed to be made before walls closed, infrastructure was fixed, and future changes became significantly more expensive.

Production

Kingfisher Folk Festival

Live event production

Project focus

  • Live audio
  • Festival production
  • Acoustic music
  • Stage systems
  • Artist support

Live production that keeps the music at the center.

Folk and acoustic music demand a different approach to live sound. Vocals must remain immediate and intelligible, acoustic instruments need definition without becoming harsh, and low-frequency reinforcement should provide foundation without overwhelming the character of the performance.

For the Kingfisher Folk Festival, Cardinal AVL's production approach centered on natural instrument tone, clear vocals, controlled low end, and consistent sound across a changing multi-act lineup.

The result is reinforcement that gives the performance scale and consistency while allowing the audience to remain focused on the artists rather than the technology.

Consulting · Integration · Production

Some projects begin
with a question.

Others begin with a construction set, a room, or a stage that has to work tonight.

Cardinal AVL brings the same approach to each: understand the objective, establish the right technical direction, and carry it through to execution.

Vision. On Course.
